Annual Staples Lacrosse Thanksgiving Project 2018

Dear Westport Lacrosse Community,

Thanksgiving is a time to remember the importance of giving thanks for our families, friends and good fortune while many others in local communities struggle to provide basic needs for their families.  This year, Staples Girls and Boys Lacrosse in conjunction with Westport PAL Lacrosse are working together to collect food for the Bridgeport Rescue Mission’s Thanksgiving Project.  The mission of The Bridgeport Rescue Mission says: We strive to excel in the provision of food, clothing, shelter, residential discipleship, education and job training for the urban poor and addicted. Proceeds and donations from the Thanksgiving Project are targeted to feed and clothe 3,000 families in our area.

Last year was a huge success! Let’s work together again to make this a special Thanksgiving for many folks in need! All donations will be greatly appreciated!  If you have any questions, please contact Matt or Linda Johnson at  or lindajohnson2565@gmail.com.

Thank you in advance for supporting our teams and this project. Details are listed below. We wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!

The Staples Girls and Boys Lacrosse players will be leading the effort to collect all donations.

Drop off is quick and easy—you can actually stay in your car. For those wishing to stop for a while, we will have coffee and hot chocolate to warm you up, plus Logo wear for purchase. Additionally, a number of the Girls and Boys Varsity Lacrosse Players will be in attendance helping to unload donations. Here are the details:
